We Are The Mighty Mighty Mizfits

Every opportunity to touch the field is appreciated by the Mizfits. They are raring to go and pick up where they left off last season. The great thing is the Mizfits continue to grow stronger each year despite setbacks and upsets.

In 2021, the Mizfits hit the ground running hard during the regular season. Racking up a season record of 5-1, Music City saw their championship dreams dashed in the first round of playoffs. Never to be counted out, the Mizfits did show off their talent and skills throughout the entire season and that playoff game. With the opportunity to take it even further this year, you can bet these ladies are ready to take another shot at a championship ring in 2022.

Music City Mizfits 2022 Season

Leading the reigns this year is HC Matt “Tank” Breymeyer who served as Defensive Coordinator in the Mizfits last two seasons. For the offense, we have Donald Ragsdale as Offensive Coordinator. For Special Teams we have Derek Barnes and Line Coach is Dawn Foster. With this group, the Mizfits have been able to install plays faster than before, focus on key groups in critical situations, and motivate each player to reach their full potential. The hard work is paying off in practice and we know the coaches will be ready for the first match up this weekend.

In previous seasons, the Mizfits have dominated the matchup versus the Carolina Phoenix, but it doesn’t mean it will be an easy game. The Phoenix figured some things out in their first game versus the Richmond Black Widows, dropping a total of 57 points to win the game. They’ll also have the advantage of getting out first-game jitters as the Mizfits take the field for the first time this weekend. Despite this, the Mizfits coaches and players are really confident going into this one. The offense is meshing well and the defense is strong, so you can expect a great game from both sides!

The Mizfits community needs fans and friends like you and we love your support! If you’re interested in joining the team, check out the Contact page and send us your information. If you’re interested in volunteering to help with the team (we’re always looking for trainers, announcers, game day help, and more), check out this link. Finally, make sure you come out to a game! We’ll have music, food, an Easter egg hunt for the kids during halftime, and this season we’re raffling off a mini-helmet signed by AJ Brown of the Tennessee Titans! You can purchase tickets here. If you just can’t make it, we’ll be live-streaming from the sidelines again this year!

Thanks and thanks again for your love and support. We couldn’t do it without you!
