Nashville Women’s Tennessee Football Ready to Take On Cincinnati Cougars in 2024 Opener

As the 2024 season kicks off, anticipation fills the air for the Nashville Women’s Football team as they prepare to face off against the formidable Cincinnati Cougars. Set to take place at STEM Prep Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 27th, this clash promises to be an exhilarating encounter under the Saturday night lights, with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm CDT.

The Cougars, boasting a reputation as one of the nation’s top five teams, present a significant challenge for the Music City Mizfits. Having faced them twice in the previous season, with the Cougars emerging victorious on both occasions, the Nashville team enters this matchup with determination and a hunger for redemption.

Leading the charge for Nashville is Gwen Hardison, a stalwart at center, whose leadership and experience will be pivotal in guiding the team’s offensive line. Joining her are standout players like Pertrice Stewart and Veyonka Owens, whose talent and potential mark them as potential superstars in the making.

In the backfield, Nashville looks to a formidable quartet consisting of Natalie Pendley, Jennika Watts, Maren Kreid, and Malea Robertson to spearhead their offensive efforts and put points on the board. With a blend of speed, agility, and power, these players are poised to make significant contributions to Nashville’s scoring opportunities.

On the defensive side of the ball, Nashville has bolstered its ranks with new additions upfront while relying on seasoned veterans like Syntache Arnell and Breniah Southall to disrupt opposing offenses and apply pressure in the backfield. Supported by the formidable duo of Shadae Lorraine and Mandy Allison at linebacker, Nashville’s defense is primed to stifle the Cougars’ offensive aspirations.

In the secondary, the team benefits from the leadership and experience of Charity Jackson and Brittany Lytton, whose presence adds stability and poise to Nashville’s defensive backfield. Their ability to read plays, provide coverage, and make crucial stops will be instrumental in thwarting the Cougars’ passing game and securing crucial turnovers.

As the Nashville Women’s Football team embarks on their 2024 campaign, they do so with confidence, resilience, and a collective determination to make their mark on the gridiron. With a potent mix of talent, experience, and hunger for success, they are poised to write a new chapter in their storied rivalry with the Cincinnati Cougars, aiming to emerge victorious and set the tone for a successful season ahead. So mark your calendars and join us at STEM Prep Academy as we cheer on our Nashville Women’s Football team on their quest for glory!

Men, aged 18 years or older, will be able to take full advantage of the program’s resources and networks in order to propel their careers to the next level, whether it be on the collegiate or professional level. Unlike other organizations, Nashville Elite is unique in that it takes great pride in giving back to our communities. In addition to providing an opportunity to play full-contact football, our organization also allows our athletes to be mentored by seasoned football veterans and also provide mentoring to younger athletes. We believe that this collaborative interaction will not only help strengthen our community but also offer hope to those young men who are seriously considering a career in football, but may not have had the grades or guidance beyond the high school level. “We Strive to be SUPERIOR!”

The Music City Mizfits were founded by a husband and wife in order to empower women through fitness and teamwork. The Mizfits play entertaining, high quality tackle football in the Women’s Football Alliance. They give women an opportunity to break down barriers by playing a game normally reserved for men. The team gives an opportunity to share their love of the game with different demographics, especially the next generation of young ladies who may want to play football. They are Middle Tennessee’s only women’s tackle football team. Just completing their second season of play, they are proud to represent Nashville in the Women’s Football Alliance, the largest women’s league in the world. They play full pads, full contact football and travel the country to promote women playing what is traditionally a “man’s” game. They want to show people they can play high level football too! They want to give women another platform to get physically fit and to display their talents.
